The Area Around The Holiday House in York, England

The holiday house is situated within the Bishophill area of York, England. This is a residential area of mainly Victorian architecture, bounded by the medieval city walls and the river Ouse. Its unique location makes it an ideal area for UK holidays in this Heritage City of York. Only ten minutes walk away is the world famous railway museum and station. Just a few minutes walk away is Micklegate with its mixture of Medieval come Georgian architecture housing bookshops, cafes and restaurants.

The holiday house is a few minutes walk away from the river Ouse, offering many architectural and boating attractions and riverside walks. Across Skeldergate bridge are the many historic features for which York, England is famed worldwide: Clifford´s Tower, York Castle Museum, the Shambles, the Minster… to name but a few.
